How do merchant payouts work?
Merchant Payouts
Lava automatically calculates your revenue from customer usage and sends payouts to your bank account via Stripe Connect.
How It Works
- Customer uses credits — When a customer makes AI API calls through your Lava-powered service, usage is metered and charged against their wallet balance
- Revenue calculated — Lava calculates your share based on your pricing configuration, minus the Lava service fee
- Earnings accumulate — Your earnings build up in your Lava merchant account
- Payouts sent — Lava sends payouts to your bank account on a regular schedule via Stripe Connect
Stripe Connect Setup
To receive payouts, you need to complete Stripe Connect onboarding during your Lava merchant setup. This is a one-time process that verifies your identity and connects your bank account.
Payout Schedule
Payouts follow Stripe's standard payout schedule, which is typically on a rolling basis after the standard holding period.
Payout Fees
Lava's 5% service fee is deducted from each transaction before your earnings are calculated. Standard Stripe payout fees may also apply depending on your region.
Viewing Payout History
You can view all your payouts, pending earnings, and settlement details from the Lava merchant dashboard under the Billing section.
