Getting started with Lava Workspace

Lava Workspace is where you and your AI do work together. Your apps live in one place, and a single agent works across all of them, with your approval. Here is how to get going.

1. Sign in

Go to lava.so and sign in, or create an account. You will land in your Workspace, the home base where your apps and your agent live side by side.

2. Add funds

Lava runs on one shared balance that covers every model and tool you use. Add funds once and you are set. You only pay for what you actually use, so a small starting balance is plenty to try things out. See Paying for usage for details.

3. Connect your apps

Connect the tools you already use, such as Gmail, Outlook, QuickBooks, Salesforce, or Ramp. Each app you connect becomes something your agent can work in on your behalf. See Connecting your apps for the steps.

4. Pick a model

Choose the AI model you want the agent to use. You can switch models at any time, so start with whatever you like and change it later. See What models can I use.

5. Tell the agent what you need

Type what you want in plain language, for example "draft a reply to the latest email from Sarah" or "pull last month's expenses from Ramp into a summary." The agent does the work right in the app and shows you each step.

6. Approve the work

Nothing is sent, saved, or changed until you say so. You review what the agent did and approve it, so you stay in control the whole time.

That is the entire loop: connect your apps, ask, and approve. Next, see Working with the agent to get the most out of it.
