Connecting your apps

Lava is only as useful as the apps you connect to it. Connecting an app lets your agent work inside it for you: read your email, pull numbers from your accounting tool, update your CRM, and more.

How to connect an app

  1. Open your Workspace and go to your apps.
  2. Find the app you want, such as Gmail, Outlook, QuickBooks, Salesforce, or Ramp, and choose to connect it.
  3. Sign in to that app and approve access. All app secrets are encrypted and are never transferred, so your credentials stay protected.
  4. The app now appears in your Workspace, ready for the agent to use.

Connecting an AI model (like Claude)

Models work a little differently from apps. You do not need a separate account or key for each one. Because Lava connects you to models through your one balance, you simply pick the model you want and start using it. See What models can I use to choose.

Do I need my own API keys?

No. With Lava you use one balance for everything, so there is nothing to wire up per tool to get started.

Removing an app

You can disconnect any app at any time from the same place you connected it. Disconnecting stops the agent from being able to use it.
